With all the money the rich and the famous have, we are curious about how they spend it. Some spend it on gadgets, cars, and jewelry, while others like to invest smartly in real estate.

CEOs and celebrities spend millions and millions of dollars to stay in lavish mansions or modern apartments equipped with state-of-the-art amenities that some of us can only dream of.

Some even go a step further and spend extra coin just to make the place exclusive to their taste. They hire interior designers and artists to customize and furnish the property to their liking, which brings up the cost of the finished project to an insane amount. So, for 2019, here are the most lucrative real estate deals celebrities made:

Tommy Hilfiger’s $33-Million Manhattan Penthouse

After more than a decade of being listed on the market, Tommy Hilfiger’s luxurious Plaza Hotel penthouse was finally sold. The lavish suite was bought for $33.25 million, which may sound a lot for some, but initially, the four-bedroom apartment was offered for $80 million in 2008.

For a penthouse in a very prominent hotel, it has everything the buyer needs from high ceilings to marble accents. The house makes the residents feel like Eloise from Eloise at The Plaza, with a hand-painted mural of the children’s-book-turned-movie character in one of the rooms’ walls, which was crafted by Hilary Knight, the character’s creator herself.

Mark Zuckerberg’s $37-Million Lake Mansion

Mark Zuckerberg may have faced a lot of issues regarding user information and privacy with his social media company, Facebook, but at least he will have plenty of security with this Lake Tahoe property. He initially bought the place next door – a $22-million Tudor home on a 3.5-acre lot – in December 2018.

However, the following month, he decided to purchase the adjacent property nicknamed Brushwood Estate for $37 million.

This area comprises of a 7,000-sq ft primary home and two detached guesthouses. The social networking mogul reportedly bought his two Lake Tahoe properties incognito.

Sting’s $66-Million Penthouse on Billionaire’s Row

Billionaire’s Row earned its nickname for being home to a few of the tallest buildings in the world and for also housing the most expensive residences for top-earning A-listers. One of which is the most lavish apartment in New York that is worth a little more than $100 million.
