Updates: Jan 24 – Feb 2

Thanks to everyone who participated in our giveaways this month. Congratulations to Jess G. who took home the $100 cash prize. Stay tuned for the winner of the $1000 cash prize which will be announced this week.

This week we’ll be continuing our Dine Out Vancouver experience with a high end Belgian restaurant tonight and a casual Caribbean restaurant tomorrow. In addition to all the great food, it’s a pretty big sports weekend with the Davis Cup happening out at UBC and the Canucks taking on rival Chicago. Throw in the Superbowl and I’m already suffering from sensory overload! I had hoped to attend the Davis Cup again, but I’m scheduled down at the wine store during the Superbowl, so I’ll be making money instead of spending it.

Have a great weekend everyone!

  • Following up on his Santa Claus rally theory, Freedom Thirty Five looks at profiting on his swing trade.
  • Reach Financial independence looks at forex trading – I found this really interesting as we’re considering doing some currency hedging at my work.
  • I agree with NZ Muse’s fear of commitment to her internet provider. We use the local provider that offers month to month billing, rather than a 12 month contract.

Thanks to everyone who included us this week!

Yeah, it was pretty strange. Half the lights went out for about half an hour! Not pitch black, but not light enough to continue playing through it.

How were the Dine Out meals? I used to try a couple a year whenever Calgary hosted the event, but recently the meals have been pretty disappointing!

    Thanks for the mention!
