Pressure cookers can dramatically speed up the amount of time it takes to cook the main course, and the following recipe for pressure cooker pork roast is no exception to that. Including prep time, the whole thing takes just an hour and a half and serves four to six people.
Pressure Cooker Pork Roast
Ingredients
1 3 lb. pork roast, whole
Salt and pepper (to taste)
Everyday seasoning from Trader Joe’s
1 lb. baby carrots
2 lbs. potatoes cut into chunks
Directions
- Season the pork with salt, pepper, and the Everyday Seasoning.
- Add the pork to the pressure cooker with 12 oz. water.
- Follow the manufacturer’s directions for starting the cooker.
- Cook for one hour. Let the pressure out and open the lid.
- Add the potatoes and carrots, then add another 15 minutes of time for cooking.
- Check for tenderness and serve.
