When my parents were feeling the money pinch, they decided to sell their car.  Good financial move right?  It netted them $8000 and they didn’t have a vehicle eating up gas and insurance money any more.  Well, not so good actually.  They blew through the money in a month or two and now have to spend several hours walking to and from grocery stores and medical appointments. For the past several months, I’ve walked by a new brewery that was being built and eagerly awaiting it’s completion. On my way home from work earlier this week, I finally noticed they were open! Naturally I stopped by and had some of their beer! There are about 4 or 5 different craft/nano breweries opening up across Vancouver, so I hope to support as many as possible. How to save money on textbooks

In my first year of college, textbooks cost me an astounding $800.  That’s an absolutely disgusting amount for something that I might use once a week.  And that was only one year of school!  I think I ended up needed only a handful of chapters (if that) out of each textbook. Schools will encourage you to buy books through the college bookstore, but that is definitely not your only source of textbooks....
