Updates: August 4 – 10

For the past several months, I’ve walked by a new brewery that was being built and eagerly awaiting it’s completion. On my way home from work earlier this week, I finally noticed they were open! Naturally I stopped by and had some of their beer! There are about 4 or 5 different craft/nano breweries opening up across Vancouver, so I hope to support as many as possible. It is really encouraging to see the food and drink culture in this city evolve – there are constantly new, amazing places to eat and drink! This brewery in particular is located a few blocks from my neighborhood and surrounded by industrial type buildings. But, the place was packed with the after work crowd enjoying a beverage. I love the sense of community a place like this can generate.

Thanks for the mention and link back. I’m having lunch with my parents later today. They are bringing some beer from their u-brew store. Looking forward to try. Enjoy the rest of your weekend 8)

  2. Nice! Glad you could finally stop by the new brewery. Getting our rental unit ready for our new renter has taken up most of my time the past week. Just a few more days until they move in!

  3. I love breweries and things like beer gardens. I love a good craft beer. I agree there is something community-ish about it. The only bad thing is it’s tempting to spend money! ๐Ÿ™‚

How was the beer? The boy loves the Granville stuff and buys it over here when he gets the chance!

Thanks for the link; have a good one! ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Local breweries are the best. There’s one in my city that has been around since before micro brews where cool – they have the best blueberry beer.
