Updates: March 3 -9

After a successful blogger meet up last week, we’re spending this weekend getting some mundane tasks done. As we wrote about in our goal setting post, we’re taking the next step towards moving our RRSP investments out of mutual funds and into a self directed brokerage account. The plan is to start with some ETF’s but it will be nice to have the option of dividends as well. We’ve got an appointment with our bank this morning to figure out the logistics of transferring our money out and into another brokerage.

We’re also planning (weather permitting) to scope out our two garden plots for the first time this year. We’re pretty excited to apply everything we learned from last year. We even have a staggered crop plan to increase our yearly yield! It will still be a couple months until we can plant, but the weather is getting nicer so we can start getting everything ready.
