Updates: November 24-30

Another Black Friday come and gone, another day in which I spent $0 on Black Friday deals. Perhaps it’s the fact I live in Canada and most of the best Black Friday deals are in the US, but it’s just a day I’ve learned to treat like any other. In fact, I was reading yesterday about the economic case for ignoring Black Friday, at least in terms of what it tells us about consumer spending. If there’s any deals I’ll be partaking it, they’ll be cyber Monday deals, where I can avoid the crowds!

Thanks for the links. I’m in the same boat as you – $0 spent on Black Friday. I really am not bought into the idea (both for consumers and businesses in fact).

  2. I bought a starbucks coffee but that’s about it. I just had no desire to be part of the madness! Thanks for including my post this week!

Hey thanks for mentioning my post! I don’t participate in Black Friday either, it’s all a load of consumerist bull. Cyber monday on the other hand, I’m going to browse a few things to see if I can get some Christmas presents a little cheaper.

  4. The best deals and the most craziness! You couldn’t pay me enough to do black friday shopping.
